DENSIT®-Tape K/FK
Plastic butyl rubber based insulation and sealing tapes.
DENSIT® tapes are used as an intermediate layer between identical or different metal surfaces or structural parts in other materials. Because of their high electric resistance, they prevent the occurrence of galvanic elements between different metal structural components.
DENSIT® tapes are easy and clean to apply and drilling through them presents no problems. The adjustment and alignment of sheet metal parts can be carried out without damage to the tape already applied.
DENSIT®-Tape K
With adhesive on one side and removable separating intermediate layer.
DENSIT®-Tape FK
With adhesive on one side and a laminated thin polyethylene film on the other.
Areas of use:
Heating and cooling technology
Sealing surfaces of similar or different metals.
Air conditioning and ventilation technology
Sealing sheet metal ducts, riveted sheet metal joints and joints in spiral corrugated pipes.
Wagon and container building
As a corrosion protection, sealing intermediate layer.
Construction industry and plant construction
Sealing of joints in prefabricated structural elements in metal, plastic, glass and other materials.
Automobile and caravan construction
Sealing and corrosion protection for bodywork parts and other structural elements.
Ship and aircraft construction
Sealing structural components and electrical isolation of structural elements in different metals, e.g. steel and aluminium, or steel and copper or brass.
Roof and façade construction
Sealing shed roofs and facades.
