DENSOLEN®-Tape AS 50
DENSOLEN®-Tape AS50 is an asymmetrical 3-ply synthetic tape consisting of a stabilized polyethylene carrier film, coated on both sides with a plastic synthetic compound on a butyl rubber base.
The thicker gray butyl adhesive layer on the inside conforms particularly well to the structure of the underlying surface (e.g. weld beads and factory coating edges). In the overlap area the individual tape layers amalgamate to form a sleeve-like, mechanically highly resistant coating, practically impermeable to water vapor and oxygen. Metallic surfaces are reliably protected from corrosion.
DENSOLEN®-Tape AS 50 has been specially developed with regard to meeting the requirement of stress class B-50 DIN 30672 / EN 12068 and Class R (Gaz de France) in two-layer application.
