TOK^®-Band spezial

The classic! Bitumen joint tape which has proved its value for many years for filling joints in road construction. Tested in accordance with ZTV Fug-StB 01 (Zusätzliche Technische Vertragsbedingungen und Richtlinien für Fugen in Verkehrsflächen - German Additional Technical Contractual Conditions and Directives for Joints in Traffic Surfaces). There are also corresponding test certificates for rail use.    

Uses 

TOK^®-Band spezial is used in combination with the primer CORRISOL^® spezial for making joints and seams in surfacing in melted asphalt, stone chipping mastic asphalt or asphalt concrete. Synthetic coated bitumen ensures effective, permanently plastic adhesion to prevent the reopening of such joints under traffic and climate conditions. TOK^®-Band spezial is used for asphalt work in "new to old" procedures, for example:

• large-scale replacement of damaged traffic lanes
• closing utility trenches
• repairing smaller areas

The directives also demand that joints be made to connect wearing courses to installations, for example
• manhole covers, valve and hydrant covers
• surrounds of different kinds
• tramway rails  

Delivery 

Rectangular tapes, rolled using separating paper. Packed in cartons, 370 x 370 x 160/140 mm, 30 cartons to a Europallet.

Storage 

TOK^®-Band spezial is to be stored without superimposed load, cool in summer, temperate in winter.
