The proven compression seal system for joints

FERMADUR^® profiles are used to seal joints in concrete surfaces or between concrete construction elements against water, both pressing and non-pressing. The profiles effect a seal by means of the reset forces caused by the installation. There is therefore no need for bonding or other connection with the joint edges, which means that the profiles can be installed almost independently of weather conditions. Proper application is essential for the quality of the seal. This means that the profiles should be installed solely by specialized operators  who have the necessary equipment and experience in application, as well as trained staff. 
FERMADUR^® profiles can generally be installed at temperatures of -5 °C to +50 °C. If the temperature lies outside this range, special measures may be needed.   
Tests have shown that joints sealed with FERMADUR^® can under certain circumstances withstand water pressure of up to 1.0 bar ( corresponding to a 10 m pillar of water). 

Two types of FERMADUR^® profiles are offered:    
• FERMADUR^® S: Exclusively for those areas where the material is protected from UV light and sunlight, for example underground uses.  
• FERMADUR^® C: In areas subject to UV and ozone stress. FERMADUR C has a limited resistance to oil and gasoline.
